John Allerton took victory and a £300 golden peg by a single fish from outside the café on peg 47 where a mainly bomb approach to the island and gap scored for him. It was a tight frame and some super weights were recorded given the wind.

Extreme weather conditions battered the anglers today, with 40 – 50mph winds, rain and sleet, and only a few ventured out on the open. Those that did left their poles in the bag! After a few moans about drawing peg 55 (!), Dale Shepherd took his second win in four days on the bomb and corn.
