What a day for Paul Northway! Upon drawing the £300 golden peg, peg 22 on Strip, owner Neil Grantham let his big gob slip, boldly putting the golden peg up to £500 because Paul had drawn it. In response, Paul cast the bomb into the middle of the lake with corn and bread to take 17 good carp and 5 F1s. It was more than double the next best weight and secured a payday of over £700 for Paul. Well done!

A cold night and flat calm, bright conditions saw the better fish reluctant to feed. Ben Fisk fished the feeder to the centre of the lake to take a rake of small stockie F1s averaging 12oz.
