Nick Speed took victory yet again, making the Method feeder work with maggot and groundbait, and adding a few late edge carp too.

Thursday October 27

Evergreen John Allerton took a net of common and mirror carp on the long pole and bomb with 6mm pellet to just hold off the challenge of young Tom Edwards next door.

Saturday October 29

Super open, £30 pools, £50 sections every five pegs

The first of the Super opens which will run every other Saturday. Ben Fisk won the day from form peg 61 on Bonsai, catching plenty of carp on the long pole and hard pellet for 147-1-0. Bonsai took the top three places in the match.

Some superb weights recorded today, mainly consisting of large F1 carp. Ryan Lidgard broke the 200lb barrier with a net of fish in the 2-3lb class, he started on the waggler but changed to the pole shallow with caster and had a brilliant last few hours.
