Goodbye to a dear friend

Lindholme Lakes sadly lost one of its closest friends and residents last week, Jim Winter.

Jim was a popular character around the lakes and his cheerful face and friendly greeting could often be seen around the entrance to the clubhouse, or on an evening stroll, and usually with his Jack Russell terrier at his side.

He loved his fishing and he would often feed the carp on his favourite peg 6 on Bonsai Lake with dog biscuits, in a Friday rover match earlier this year he took over 260lb from this peg.

Jim also liked his pike fishing and last winter in our Loco lake he caught two absolute crocodiles of 28lb and 26lb!

Lindholme Lakes would like to offer its sincere condolences to his wife Lynn and his family. You may be gone Jim but you will never be forgotten, rest in peace our dear friend.
