A fantastic turnout today for a match to raise funds for Marlon Lake, who was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time during a shooting in Sheffield recently. It was organised by the Kinky Pellet Club and ran over five lakes. In first place and taking his biggest ever match win was Anthony Waters. Anthony alternated between corn and bread on the bomb to take 26 carp up to 6lb for a convincing victory. Ian Ridgeway fished the short pole with tiny pieces of paste to record a second placed 65lb 6oz from Benny’s.

John Allerton returned to winning ways, catching on a small feeder and bomb onto the shallow plateau in front of him near peg 60. He caught mainly F1 stockies plus a few better carp around the 4lb bracket.
