Paul Wright fished the pole at 7m and down the edge with pellet in high winds to take a mainly F1 catch.

Thursday January 12

2. P Wright 19-12-0, peg 68

Low temperatures and freezing winds really took their toll on sport. Alex Dockerty took the win from peg 65 on the pole and pellet and bomb and corn.

Saturday January 14
Natural Baits League Round 3
Bonsai and Laurels (41 pegs)

This was the third round of the pole only, natural baits only league. Carp do no count. Mick Owen won the day from Bonsai 43 where he took a net of F1s on maggot, also having to put several mirrors and commons back!

Alex Dockerty drew one of the form pegs of the winter so far and made no mistakes, taking a net of carp to double figures fishing the pole with pellet, corn or bread at 14-16m. Andy Douglas was second on the feeder on Loco. Talk of the match however was the 28lb 10oz pike landed by Nick Speed. See the general news section!
